Biography of Donald JENSEN

Dr. Jensen is currently Professor of Medicine and Director of the Center for Liver Diseases at the University of Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School. He completed his medical internship and pursued his residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center.

 

Dr. Jensen completed an additional fellowship in hepatology at King’s College Hospital in London, England. He was Director of the Section of Hepatology at Rush University Medical Center until 2005. Dr. Jensen is AASLD/IDSA’s HCV Guidelines Development Co-Chair. He is Associate Editor for Viral Hepatitis for Hepatology and has contributed to over 250 publications in topics related to hepatitis.
