Biography of Jérôme BOURSIER
Jerome Boursier (MD, PhD) is graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Angers University, in 2006. In 2011, he presented his PhD entitled “Methodology to improve the accuracy of the non-invasive diagnosis of liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C”. In 2014, he did a research fellowship on Anna Mae Diehl Lab in Duke University, investigating in the area of the gut microbiota and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. He is Professor of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine of Angers, since 2016. His main field of research is the non-invasive diagnosis of liver lesions in chronic liver diseases, especially NAFLD. He is the head of the HIFIH laboratory (UPRES 3859, SFR 4208) at Angers University.
