Biography of Olivier CHAZOUILLERES
Olivier Chazouilleres, MD, is Chief of the Hepatology department at Saint Antoine Hospital in Paris. He is also Professor of Hepatology at Sorbonne University in Paris.
He obtained his medical degree from the University of Paris and he was a Research Fellow at University of California San Francisco.
Dr Chazouilleres’ clinical expertise focuses on the management of autoimmune liver diseases: primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune hepatitis and overlapping forms. He is the Head of the French Network of Rare Liver Diseases in adults and children.
Among the contributions to the hepatology arena are more than 200 papers published in international journals and presentations at both national and international meetings. He serves, or has served, on several EASL Clinical Practices Guidelines Committees on management of autoimmune liver diseases (chairman of the 2022 EASL Guidelines on sclerosing cholangitis).
He is the past President of the French Association for the Study of the Liver and a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the European Association for the Study of the Liver.
