Biography of Isabelle CHEMIN

Isabelle Chemin is currently Research Director (DR2) in the Team of Fabien Zoulim at the Cancer Research Center Lyon INSERM U1052. Dr. Chemin worked on projects concerning hepatitis B natural history and animal models (woodchuck, duck, mice, tupaia models). She spent several years at the International Agency for Research on Cancer  on Hepatitis B virus (HBV)/ Aflatoxin B1 interaction and in the University of Freiburg on new anti-HBV therapies. Since several years she focused on HBV variants and Hepatocellularcarcinoma, including prognostic and predictive markers for HCC development. She has been instrumental in the implementation and development of several collaborative studies, including with South America, North and West Africa. Isabelle Chemin is involved in several teaching activities in Master programs in Lyon, and is member of editorial boards and ad hoc reviewer and grant applications in the field of hepatitis viruses and pathobiology. She is or was in the board of several scientific instances (IARC Folloship committee, ANR National commission, French National Ligue against cancer, ANRS).
