Biography of Kenneth CUSI

Dr. Cusi is a Professor of Medicine and Chief at the University of Florida, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. He is also a faculty member at the Division in the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He received his medical degree and did his internal medicine residency in Buenos Aires, Argentina and completed his fellowship in Endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. Dr. Cusi has published more than 150 original articles, reviews and book chapters in a broad spectrum of peer-reviewed journals. In addition to the New England Journal of Medicine and Anals of Internal medicine, his work in T2DM and in NASH has been published in the Proceeding of the National Academy of Science; Journal of Clinical Investigation; Diabetes; Diabetes Care; Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism; Diabetes Obesity and Metabolism, American Journal of Physiology, Hepatology, Gastroenterology and others. He is a frequently invited lecturer to national and international meetings on the role of obesity and NAFLD in TD2DM. He is an astute member of several associations as well as receiving awards for teaching, research discovery and productivity.
