Biography of Roberta D'Ambrosio

Dr Roberta D’Ambrosio is resident Physician at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, Italy.

She received her Medical Degree in 2005. After her Medical Specialty in Gastroenterology, she was also trained in Liver Pathology. She spent one year at the Department of Pathology at Beaujon Hopital, in Clichy (France), where she focused her research on cirrhosis regression.

Her clinical interests mainly involve chronic viral hepatitis and NAFLD; she’s Consultant Hepatologist for the Lung and Kidney Transplant Department, and for the Congenital Anemia Center, in Milan.

She published several papers on the impact of viral eradication on cirrhosis-related complications as well as on the assessment of cirrhosis regression in HCV patients with an SVR.

She is currently involved in several Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials on NAFLD/NASH and participated to most trials on HCV treatment at the beginning of the DAA-era.

She serves as reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals.

In Italy, she’s member of the regional (Lombardy region) HepC and NAFLD Commissions.
