Biography of Dimitri SEMIZAROV

Dr. Dimitri Semizarov is a Scientific Director with the Hepatology Global Medical team at AbbVie. His 22-years scientific career spans two therapeutic areas: oncology and hepatology. He spent most of his AbbVie career in Oncology, where he established a Personalized Medicine and Genomics capabilities, built the teams, and contributed to the development of several pipeline drugs, including venetoclax, which is now approved in the US and EU. He then moved to Hepatology, where he led medical activities for the launch of two HCV drugs, Viekirax/Exviera and Maviret. Dr. Semizarov is the principal inventor on 12 patents, an author of a book on Genomics in Drug Development, and a coauthor of multiple peer-reviewed publications.
