Biography of Daniel DHUMEAUX

Daniel Dhumeaux, MD is Emeritus Professor of Medicine (University of Paris-East, France) and specialized in liver diseases. He created the French Association for the Study of the Liver, and became its President. Pr Daniel Dhumeaux was also President of the French Society of Gastroenterology and of the European Association for the Study of the Liver. At Henri Mondor hospital in Créteil (University of Paris-East), Pr Daniel Dhumeaux was the chief of Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology. He is the author of more than 200 scientific publications and 300 communications, mainly in hepatology. At the French Ministry of Health, Pr Daniel Dhumeaux was in charge of the national action plans for screening, prevention and management of patients with hepatitis B and C, and he is the present President of Hepatitis committee. He was recently the coordinator of a report of recommendations on the management of patients with hepatitis B and C for the French Ministry of Health.
